HI!!! I'M BACK! Sorry for ignoring this little space of mine for such a long time:(

This period of time has not been easy for me but I'm really thankful that I have friends who will lend me a listening ear and be there for me when I need them. Although this may be the most difficult phase in my life, I will stay strong and accept it if it were to happen.

On a side note, yesterday was officially the last day of Sem 3.1!!! Time indeed waits for no one and we should really treasure every moment before they were gone. This morning, I received a call from my liaison officer regarding the upcoming Student Internship Programme. I will be working at some company at Novena and it should be quite convenient for me as I can reach there within an hour. ^^

Post-exam Brunch at The Assembly Ground with yunzhi yesterday. :) I really love cafes with all-day brunch!!! We had The Assembly Brunch and Scrambled Eggs which comes with my favourite smoked salmon. Good food, service and company! Ohya, prices stated are inclusive of GST and there is no service charge. :)

    The Assembly Brunch ($19.50) 

This may looked like any brunch at other cafes but I really love their scrambled eggs and grilled cherry tomatoes.

    Iced Green Tea Latte ($6.50)

It comes with a scoop of ice-cream which did not melt completely even at the end of the meal.

FINALLY TRIED LLAO LLAO YOGURT YESTERDAY. We don't really like it as it was too sour. I think some fruits don't go well with the yogurt and the almond crunch is a little too hard?? Not a fan of yogurt so I will not comment on it any further.

She's not the first friend I got to know during poly orientation but definitely one of the close friends that I will keep in contact with till we grow old.

Went to Orchard Gateway to camwhore! Bought innisfree creamy tint lip mousse no.4 yesterday and used it immediately hahaha

It's quite different from my ysl glossy lip stain as it is not that moisturizing and took a longer time to dry. Well, one cent one good! (direct translation haha) However, I really love the colour and most importantly it's long lasting.

Decked in TTR Cooper Cut In Top and Petal Flare Shorts! ( I think I looked a little too happy here!!)

Swee Choon Dim Sum Restaurant

Having Swee Choon for the first time! Finally managed to head down to the famous dim sum restaurant for a dim sum feast with my favourite people. (This was just part of what we ordered) $24 per pax as we ordered too much food!!

I seldom eat dim sum as I get sick of it easily after eating it. It's too meaty for me. I think the next dim sum feast will probably happen in about 3 months' time or more?? (I'm not exaggerating)

Swee Choon Dim Sum Restaurant is quite inaccessible. We walked from Bugis Street and it took us around 15 mins!!! We could have taken a shorter time if we walked from Lavender MRT Station. But it doesn't cause any harm to walk a bit more as I can do some shopping at Bugis Street before the feast! :-)

I'm only highlighting some of the best dim sums I liked at Swee Choon :-)

 
Spot the Red Bean Paste Pancake. The pancake skin was thin, crispy and filled with sweet red bean paste. It's a perfect sweet treat!

Portuguese Egg Tarts- The crust was crispy while the filling was quite smooth and soft.

Pan-fried Pork Dumplings- Each dumpling is consistently good with their juicy filling just like xiao long bao.

Beancurd Prawn Roll- I really love this!!! Crispy beancurd skin with pork and prawn filling. YUMMY.

Salted Egg Yolk Custard Buns- LOVE IT. This is one of the best salted egg yolk custard buns I've had in Singapore!!! Flowy custard and not too salty :-)

Prive is located on Singapore's only private island - Keppel Island. It comprises of a modern Grill, a Waterfront Bar and a Cafe.

Prive Cafe serves All-Day Breakfast from 9.30 am to 5 pm!!! It is a good place for a late brunch. :-) Eggs Benedict, Prive's Ultimate Brekkie and Rich Chocolate Cake for brunch. The Chocolate Cake was not incredibly rich sigh...

 
Prive's Ultimate Brekkie- 2 eggs (any style), 6-inch chicken sausage, maple-roasted bacon, roasted Roma tomato, sauteed button mushrooms, potato rosti and homemade wholemeal bread.
I really love their ultimate brekkie. Everything tasted so good! The scrambled eggs were well seasoned and the wholemeal bread was delicious. :-)

Eggs Benedict- Traditonal English muffins topped with smoked leg ham, streaky bacon, gently poached eggs and creamy Hollandaise sauce.
Prive's eggs benedict was heavenly. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection with yummy hollandaise sauce. The hollandaise sauce tasted so good as the lemon juice wasn't too heavy! (some hollandaise sauce tasted so sour) There was melted cheese on the ham and I thought it would be a good combination with the poached eggs. :-)

This post came late as I was preparing for my exams a few weeks back and I have been watching "Love from Another Star" lately.Went to Prive Cafe and Dolce Tokyo last week.:-) Really love the breakfast at Prive and the beautiful view along the Keppel Bay!! I shall blog more about it on my next post so stay tuned!

Brunch at W.39 Bistro & Bakery with Yunzhi on a Saturday right after our test. I made a reservation as we did not want to make a wasted trip all the way to the west! It was pretty warm that day and I was wearing a black top and Yunzhi wore her denim outerwear... We should have checked the weather forecast before deciding what to wear next time??

W.39 is located near Clementi Stadium. You can get there by walking along the short walkway through the landed houses. :-) We ordered Hearty Breakfast, Croque Madame, rainbow cake, signature red velvet cake and iced latte.

The food was reasonably priced and the service was good too. Look at my pretty sunny-side-up *.*

    Pretty Rainbow Cake :-)  It tasted good too! The cream isn't too heavy and there was a slight orange aftertaste.

    Red Velvet Cake

The cake was soft and moist. I love the thick cream cheese!!! W.39 has the best Red Velvet Cake. :-)

Great dinner with my favourite group of people from TP ^^ (Missing out Yunzhi that day :/) We had Japanese cuisine at MOF. The food was good but it was damn expensive!!

It has been so long since we all had a meal together and I really enjoyed my dinner that day :-)  We had a hard time deciding on what to eat due to the varieties they have. Shi Hui recommended Iced Matcha and I really love it. It tasted just right, not too bitter or sweet.

 

   

 Paris Baguette for desserts since the desserts at MOF didn't look appealing to us.

    Mango Royal Pudding

We ordered Mango Royal Pudding as the original ones were sold out. I think the pudding is overpriced. It doesn't taste like normal pudding due to its liquid texture. However, I like how the different layers of the pudding mixed well with one another to give it a unique taste!!

HR Employee Wellness Presentation - My group chose Aerobics Exercise.
One group chose aerobics exercise too whereas two other groups chose mass dance and philosophy talk respectively. So... while one group is presenting, the rest have to act as the company's employees and participate in the Employee Wellness programme. I was like exercising or moving throughout the 2h...
Tutorial ended at 5.30. I had my super late lunch with Yunzhi and went to meet my friends for project till 8.30 omg so tiring zzz

Kelly Services Presentation
I was so so so nervous that day as presentation was being held in a LT and managers from some companies were coming to see our presentation. My group was the third group to present and to be honest, I started shivering when the second group ended their presentation.

I tried to calm down and managed to pluck out my courage to speak loudly in a LT #achievementunlocked

My group won the Best Group prize hehehe ( Thanks to all my group members !!! )

    Free thumbdrive and movie ticket (Not bad la haha)
